    DirectX9 (Pro)

Not sure if this is the right forum but has anyone had any experience with DirectX 9 and Windows XP? I'm wondering about trying it as I was advised that it might help with some issues I'm having with XP, Creative Audigy soundcard and Acid. If I download and install it will system restore really bail me out if I find things worse than before. I guess there's no other way of getting rid of it but can system restore really do the job?

    Thanks,

    Chris,
I've installed it on three machines without any problems. That is just to be prepared more than anything because right now there is very little software or hardware that takes advantage of DirectX 9. It is still possible that some fix made its way in that will help your problem though. I'd say go for it and see what happens. AFAIK, system restore works just fine to bail you out.

Thanks, Joe - guess I'll give it a go.
