    Attach LARGE file bug?

I goofed and tried to attach zNetscap.BMP ay 594KB instead of the 20010309.zip at 7KB).

This appeared to cause some sort of "Internal Server Error".

I suspect that there is no test at the start of the u/l of an attachment that says "hey! You're over the limit". Instead it is going ahead anyway and then just running into problems.

If there's an experiment I could/should conduct let me know and I'll trot over to the (shudder!) test area. I still have both files.

    Re: Attach LARGE file bug?

OK. Thanks. For my part I'd like to promise not to goof again; truth is, it's easier to fix the board .....

Main thing is, I guess, we know/knew what it was. Sometimes when response is slow I just assume that Chris Greaves is u/l some more code ....

Is this another case of a message being deleted after it had been email-notified?

There is a filter in place but it wasn't working properly. I've fixed it now. It still means a wait because the only way to tell the size of the file is to start uploading it - when the upload reaches the size-limit, it stops and sends you a "Sorry, File too big" message.

Yes, sorry about that. As soon as I realised that you would be notified every time I ran my tests, I deleted that message and opened myself a new test thread.
