Price point line chart (Excel 2000)

    Hi,

I have a challenge. I am doing a line chart which plots different prices, for example: $1, 2, 2.99, 3, 3.99 etc. As you can see, they are unequal amounts. Is there a way that I can have the axis where only the prices are 1, 2, 3 show up as values and yet they are equally spread out, and still be able to plot 1, 2, 2.99 etc.?

Use an XY scatter chart NOT a line.

In XY scatter X-axis is a value, in a line (and all other types) the Xaxis is only a category.
