    queries (Access XP)

Ok I am feeling real dumb about now. I want to create a form that will end up being a subform. The subform is linked by the MembershipID field to the main form. The subform is based on a query that is made from two different tables. But when I try to input data on the subform it doesn't accept the data. Any ideas of which Access 101 fact I forgot to deal with?

    Thank you. Fay

It sounds as if your data source query is probably not updateable. To test that, open the query by itself and try editing a record and/or adding a new record. The most common cause for not being updateable is a missing primary key. Also check Help for other reasons a query might not be updateable - look for "troubleshoot query" in the Answer Wizard.
