    New to Windows XP (XP)

We've just aquired a new laptop at work which is running XP Pro. I've never used XP before so everything is looking a little unfamiliar right now.

Got it out of the box, switched it on and opened some kind of interactive training program (that was visible on the start menu). I'm sure it was more than just a tour, some user input (eg enter a password) was required.

The thing is, now its been configured by our IT admin I can't find the program and I don't have any idea exactly what it was called.

Does this program exist or was it just my imagination?

    Try:

Start > Help and Support >
Under "Pick a Help topic" click on "What's new in Windows XP"
Click on "Taking a Tour or Tutorial"

    I'm sure it wasn't that - I think maybe I'm losing my mind <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

You didn't say what brand it is, but how about this. Some OEMs put splashy "training" (marketing?) stuff on their PCs. Check through your Start Menu for the supplier name, i.e. Gateway something or other, or Dell something or other. You get the idea. If you see anything, see if it's called anything like tour or training or whatever. On the other hand, your IT folks could have totally ditched whatever you saw.

On my brandnew PC with Windows XP Home, there is a desktop shortcut named "Learn XP" that has

    C:WindowsHelpSBSTrainingStartmenu.cbo

as its target. Is that the one you meant?
