    barcodes (10.4)

Would like to add barcodes to mail labels. Any special software needed to convert the zipcode to bar? Is special hardware needed to print the barcode?

    Thanx.

<post#=183533>post 183533</post#> was a fairly lengthy discussion about barcode fonts and how to use them. In short, you need the font, you don't generally need any special hardware to print them, and there are various sizes available. You will need to do some formatting of the zipcode to get it to print correctly, and you should be aware that the kind used by the USPS typically include a carrier route and delivery code info in addition to the zip code. Hope this helps.

    Re: barcodes (10.4)

So, what I can determine is all I need is an extra space on the label to put a zipcode field and then format it with the proper postnet barcode. Are all postnet barcodes on a fee basis only? I ask because I was able to find a none postnet code that was not fee based.

    Thanx.
