I am unable to remove the font substitution permanently for @SimSun font on a PC that has Unicode fonts installed. I can only remove it permanently if Unicode fonts are not installed. Does anyone else have a work around?

Even if you cannot remove it, if you install the SimSun Trutype Unicode font and Convert @SimSun to SimSun Permanently, the substitution will most likely not cause any unexpected results.
You can use the edit replace command to replace one font with another, even fonts you don' t have installed on your system.
If you select Format for the Find string, then Font, then type @SimSun, then format the Replace string with the font you do want to substitute, it will make the change.
