Error Message (Outlook 2002)

    A lady in our office is having problems when she opens/sends e-mails from Outlook 2002. She has Windows ME. I don't think any of the Office updates have been loaded. The message she gets is "Explorer has caused an error in KRNL386.exe. Explorer will now close." Also another message that says "Explorer caused a General Protection Fault in Module KRNL386.exe @0001:000075a8. Close". Can anyone tell me what's causing this error and how to fix it? Thanks much.

    In order to debug errors like this, she needs to be able to tell you the following:

    [list=1]
What was she doing when she got the error? Including:

The specific action (e.g., clicked Send, printed message); and

Whether Outlook was trying to do anything else at the time (e.g., downloading new messages in the background, firing a reminder).

    Thanks for the info. I'll check with her and proceed from there.
