Forwarding message body and attachments to Access (2000)

I have setup code in Outlook to transfer the subject and body of the currently selected message to a form in MS Access but would also like to be able to involve any attachments. Any alternative suggestions would be most welcome.

Do you want to put the attachment into a folder and store a file path in Access, or do you want to actually put the unknown binary content of the attachment into a field in Access? The first seems pretty do-able. As for the second, I don't remember whether Access supports "BLOB" data types expressly, or whether you can fake it with a Memo field, or...

I think the first option sounds easier, thank you. I'll give it a go.

Quite a while ago, either on this board or VBA, someone posted some code for peeling off the attachments and saving them to disk. I guess you might want to change the file names to something that you know won't conflict (e.g., a serial number plus the file extension).

I've been able to save the first attachment, now I'm going to loop through when there are multiples. Thanks for your help.
