    New mail Window size (6.0)

How can I configure OE to always open the New Mail window maximized?
I have opened a new mail dialog, max'ed it and saved it but it always returns in a smaller size when I re-open the message. I used this techique with Outlook but it does not appear to work with OE.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Re: New mail Window size (6.0)

Please cancel my request. I have just found the answer on another site that I just discovered: http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/
The FAQs have this answer to my problem:
"OE will not remember a maximized window. It will however remember any non-maximized size. So open a message and drag the corners until it fills the screen. Close the message and OE will now remember to open messages in the large size."
    Thanks

    How are you saving it?
The only way that I have found is to closed the sized window by using the menu File, Close.
It also helps to drag the window to the size you want and NOT use the Max button in the uper right.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Re: New mail Window size (6.0)

Dave: After some time out skiing, I have reached the following conclusions with Outlook Express:
I have found that the Create Mail and Read Mail windows appear to be tied together w.r.t. defining window size. Define size for one or the other and the other follows the same format.
I found that the size change is not retained with selecting via the maximize button in the uppe right corner.
The cursor has to be used to drag the edges to the desired position.
Then the new sizing values are retained whether OE is closed with the X close button or with File>Close. It did not matter which way I closed.
I am using OE 6.00.2600.0000 as noted above.
    Thanks for the assistance.

    macdonell-
The KB on this 190277 OE Opens Messages in Small Window confirms it will remember the size you manually dragged the message to as you said.
