    paste unformatted macro (2000 9.0.2720)

I thought Woody's tip to reset ctrl+v to paste unformatted, in Word and Excel, was one of the simplest and most brilliant tips I've ever gotten.

In my office we just upgraded to WinXP Professional SP 1, reloaded Office2k and the macro still works in Word. In Excel, though, when I try to record the macro, and set the key to ctrl+v i get a dialog that says "There is already a macro assigned to that key. You should choose another shortcut key". I don't remember seeing that before, and this is the same version of office.

What's worse, I've somehow unset the original command for ctrl+v, it now does nothing. And I can't seem to find a way to reassign shortcut keys in Excel, similar to the Keyboard button on the Tools | Customize dialog in Word.

Is there anyway to reset or reassign Excel keyboard shortcuts short of uninstalling? And why am I having this new difficulty with ctrl+v?

"Tools, Macro, Macros" Select the Macro, Select Options (lower Right). Delete the key identifer.
    I hope this helps
