Calculating/Grouping Day of the Week (Access 97 SR2)
I need to write a report which will calculate how many helpdesk calls we receive on a Monday, Tuesdays, etc. I also need to report on the average calls per week.

Use the Report Wizard to create a report based on the table (ro query) with helpdesk calls. When the Wizard asks if you want to add grouping levels, add the date field twice. Then, click the Grouping Options button and specify that the first date field must group by week, and the second by day. In the final step, indicate that you want to open the report in design view.
Add a text box to the day level group header with control source =Count(*)
What do you mean by average calls per week? The average calls per day in each week? If so, use a text box with control source =Count(*)/5 or =Count(*)/7, depending on whether you want to average over working days or over all days.
