How do I move Start + Taskbar + System Tray back?

Accidentally moved Start button, Taskbar and System Tray to right side of screen...how do I get them back into a row at bottom of screen? (Windows 98).

You should be able to "grab" the task bar in an empty space with your left mouse button and drag the whole thing back to the bottom. Let us know if that doesn't work.

Always being a day late and dollar short ...

In addition to Big Al's message, once you have the task bar back, put the cursor over an empty space of the bar, RIGHT Mouse Click, Select "Lock the Taskbar" to prevent accidently moving the bar in the future ! HTH

Is that option available in Windows 98?

That's what I thought. As far as I know, this option was introduced in Windows XP.

W98 SE does not have the option standard - sorry.

The PC I was using is Windows ME and option does work - I found the option as a PC Utility that came with the eMachines software package - no good here.

I pulled the old 98SE machine and hooked it up - I can do it on this machine as well, which means I have a utility somewhere allowing me to do this. I am trying to find it, and a possible location - thus my tardiness in responding.

Thanks for the catch - I need to pay more attention to the details before posting.

The real irony here is that the OP hasn't been back since he posted the question.

Did any of the suggestions work for you ??? Responding has two purposes. First to alert and thank those whose suggestions you tried and resolved your problem and second to let others who might have the same issue find a solution. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
