Lag Time in Rehearse Timings (PPoint 2000)

Why does there seem to be a great deal of lag time in a show that has been set to run on Rehearsed Timings? If I space everything out neatly just the way I want it to show with the rehearsed timings, save the time, and save the presentation...run it...nothing EVER happens with the exact times that I set. Somethings still come in to soon, or to late...is this a known microsoft bug or what. It has gotten to the point, I rarely even want to teach the subject in class because it never returns the show back to us the way we rehearsed it?

Are you showing the presentation on the same machine that you rehearsed the timings on?

I've run into this sort of problem when I've used different machines, with (I suppose) different clock speeds. I assume that timings are set up for the speed of the rehearsal machine.

Same Machine Catherine....any other thoughts...? In fact as we do this in class, 24 computers, 24 people...each giving there own presentation on their own screen...rehearse timings are never the same...always off by seconds this way or that...it is sooooooooo frustrating.

A puzzle. Have you seen any patterns in the behaviour? I mean is it more likely to happen with some types of animations? Or a particular sequence of animations?

    Cheers
