    Hyperlinks in text (Word97 SR-2)

Sometimes when I copy and paste something from the web into a Word documents, links are copied and remain as links. How can I change them to plain text?

Edit > Paste Special > Plain Text will do what you ask, but it will also discard any other formatting
You may also need to clear the checkbox "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks" under Tools > Autocorrect > Autoformat As You Type

If you catch on too late, you can also select the text, or just the hyperlink, and hit Ctrl+Shift+F9 (command "UnlinkFields"; corresponds to Selection.Fields.Unlink in VBA; description: "Permanently replaces the field codes with the results").

    Klaus,
    Ctrl+Shift+F9 worked. Thank you.
