    Invisible Attachments (O2002, SP1)

I have received two mail messages that each reference an attached PDF. However, the attachment is not visible in the message. So, I replied to the sender that there was no attachment. They replied to my message and to my surprise, the attachment was now visible. Today, I received another with the same symptoms. I opened the message and selected File > Save attachments... A very strange file name appeared in the Save as... box - a name with a few tildas. I believe that the sender was attaching the PDF file from a message they had received from another party.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Al

    Re: Invisible Attachments (O2002, SP1)

There is (was?) an issue where attachments were not rendered when you opened the mail, but you could tell there was an attachment by the size of it.
If you simply open and File > Save the message, the attachment shows up when you re-open it.

(There were a couple of threads on this some time ago, I just can't seem to locate them today...)

    Leif,

Thanks. I couldn't search last evening when I posted this inquiry because I was (am) having registry problems... Anyway, the thread you're referring to is <!post=Missing Attachment,81914>Missing Attachment<!/post> that was posted by someone with the same name as you <img src=/S/clown.gif border=0 alt=clown width=15 height=15>. So, at least now, I know what to do when I receive one of these messages.
