    ODBC Driver

I am trying to import files from a software program MLS (Memory Lane Software). It is a DOS program and requires using an ODBC Driver. I have the ODBC Driver in my Control Panel but the problem I am having is importing and using the proper driver. Any suggestions?

Can you identify the file types in the DOS programme that the data is stored in, for example, *.dbf ?

    Rupert,

    Yes, they are DAT Files.

    Rupert,

I found out the files are .cdd files. Does that help?

That sounds like a custom format. DAT files are actually database files, but you have to know what program they're written for. If the company is still in existence, go back to them and find out what driver to use. They may even have their own you can get. If they no longer exist, you may be looking at a conversion program like Data Junction, which handles all kinds of file conversions but is on the pricey side.

    Charlotte,

I found out MLS uses CONNX for .cdd files. I think we are getting closer to a solution. I am having problems with the license. I think when that is solved I will be able to pull the .cdd files. Thanks for you help!
