Desktop create restore point? (XP SP1)

Can I create a desktop icon that will create a restore point?

Or is there a way to automatically create a restore point upon bootup?

    1. Yes, you can. Right-click the desktop and from pop-up menu choose New | Shortcut. In the box "type location of an item" type:
    %SystemRoot%System32restorerstrui.exe
Click Next button, and in the next screen type
    System Restore
in the "Type the name of the shortcut " box. Click OK.

    2. Windows automatically creates restore point at successful bootup. To see these restore points, double-click your shortcut, check "Restore my computer to an earlier time" radio button and click Next button.
