Turn off Default Message. (A2000)

    Is there a way to turn off the default Access messages.

    I have a combo and in the Not in List event have put:

    Docmd.SetWarnings False
    msgbox "Invalid Entry"
    DoCmd.SetWarnings True

    But still get the Access message along with my message box.

    You must change the Response argument of the NotInList event. It can have 3 possible values:

acDataErrDisplay - display the standard error message (this is the default value).

acDataErrContinue - don't display the standard error message; you can display your own if you wish.

acDataErrAdded - use this if you added the text entered by the user (available in NewData) to the row source of the combo box.[/list]In your case, you probably need to set
    Response = acDataErrContinue.

    Also see <post#=146637>post 146637</post#> for examples.
