    toolbar icons

Just got through reading Woody's Office tips for Mere Mortals on customizing a toolbar in Word and it reminded me of something I've wondered about for some time. Is there a way to import icon? You can edit an icon and supposedly create a new one from scratch. Is this another one of those head scratchers from Microsoft. "You can use our icons, edit our icons, and create an icon, but you can't use one that's already been done, but is not ours." Yeah that has to be the case. In hopes that I'm wrong, does anyone know of a way to beat them at this game?

Copy & paste still works with Office 97. Used it to create buttons for Zip drives and Acrobat icons.
