Do a search on "Print Screen" here here at Woody's Lounge and you should find all you want and NOT want to know at it. It has been the subject on many threads.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

You won't PRINT a window from within Windows, but the PRINT SCREEN (or PRTSCR) key will make a copy in the clipboard of the entire desktop. ALT-PRINT SCREEN makes a copy of only the window "in focus" at the time. From the clipboard you should be able to Edit/Paste into most applications (or Ctrl-V).
