Internet Links Not Working (Version 6/Latest Updates)

Help. Through no apparent fault of my own, the Internet links in my Outlook messages no longer work. I'm running WinXP, IEv6, and the latest version of Outlook. If I click on a link in an e-mail message, nothing happens. If I'm lucky, I can look at the source code for the message and find the URL, but most of the time, I'm stuck. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Got the answer, courtesy of the good folks at PC Magazine. Several answers, actually:

    1. Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 257464: Hyperlinks in an E-mail Message Do Not Work
    or
    2. At the Start menu's Run dialog, enter
    regsvr32 urlmon.dll /u
In the same dialog, then enter
    regsvr32 urlmon.dll
Un-registering and re-registering this DLL often solves this problem.

I hope this helps other folks, too.

    PC Magazine? <img src=/S/drop.gif border=0 alt=drop width=23 height=23>

Who needs to go elsewhere when the answers are found right here in the Lounge. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

(Thanks for posting your solution, though!)

You're right, Leif. I did feel a little wierd even admitting that I went elsewhere for answers, but they were quicker to the punch! I'll try not to stray so far from home next time!
