    concatenate different formats

I need the formula to concatenate 2 cells of different types (specifically a date and text). When I try it the usual way (=A1,B1), I get Excel numeric value of the date, not the date itself.

I've done this before, but I foolishly forgot to write it down, thinking I'd be able to remember or find it again. No such luck.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Re: concatenate different formats

You need to convert the date part to text, so assuming your date is in A1 and the text in A2 you should have =TEXT(A1,"DD/MM/YY")&B1 as the formula
