Start up Error Message (XP Home)

I have a Compaq laptop that I've had for about a year with XP on it, and it just recently started giving me error messages every time I boot up. It gives me the little message that says "Your system has recovered from a serious error" and then asks you to send a report to Microsoft, which I couldn't do, even if I wanted to, because that computer is not currently online. When I say no, it gives me the same message at least 10 more times. Then it goes away. Any suggestions? It's definitely a problem I can live with, but a rather annoying one.

You Receive a "System Has Recovered from a Serious Error" Message After Every Restart
The information in this article applies to:
    Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional
This article was previously published under Q317277
    SYMPTOMS
If Windows XP restarts because of a serious error, the Windows Error Reporting tool prompts you to report the problem to Microsoft for troubleshooting purposes. Windows may begin prompting you to report this information every time you restart the computer, even if no error occurred during the previous session. After this problem begins to occur, you are prompted to send the information after every restart, even if you choose not to send the information.
    CAUSE
This problem occurs because after a Minidump (or memory dump) file is written, the paging file continues to have a flag set that indicates that a memory dump file needs to be written.
    RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, download the following file from the Microsoft Download Center:
    Click To Download Patch Patch

thanks...this works great. It took me a while to be able to download the patch onto my laptop because it is not online when I'm at school, but it fixed the problem.
