    IDE question

I've noticed a few of us have discovered a few things about the VBA IDE lately (the bookmarks on the edit menu, the font property button on a text object to name two). Well, I'm hoping I'm missing something and one of you can enlighten me.

I am used to moving controls (especially grouped controls) with the arrow keys. This does not appear to be a possibility in the Word 97 IDE. Am I right? How about the Word 2000 IDE?

"Moving controls (especially grouped controls) with the arrow keys." - a wise guy, eh? What'll you ask for next?

Seriously, I'm sure the graphical design environment was a big advance for its time, but it's a thin subset of the graphic tools generally available in Office app for instance. And 2000 VBA provides no new features in this regard.

For some other examples: you can't apply emphasis (bold, italic, color) to individual characters or words in control text. You can't apply color to the fonts at all.

BTW try grouping a few controls and then look at the Position properties - what gets displayed is the position properties for the individual elements in the group - and if they differ among individual elements, they're blank. So it would appear that the only way to move grouped controls in a userform is click 'n drag.... which is a drag.

    Re: IDE question

Developers get the table scraps. Look at Publisher, Word and just about any MS product that allows objects to be inserted. They can all be moved with arrow keys. BTW, MS is inconsistent here. Sometimes it's the arrow keys, Ctrl-Arrow keys, shift....

And the competition has MS beat here too. Do any MS poeple monitor Woody's domain for ideas?
