Print view grid removal. (Word 10.4219.4219 SP-2)

    Hi, everyone.

I am sure that my problem is simple, however it has me beat! When I open Word in print view, I get a background grid that I cannot seem to get rid of. It makes reading files really difficult and the 'normal' view doesn't show page breaks etc.

I have gone through the help system and tried various other ways to get rid of the grid...... Is there a fix or update I can install.

Have you tried turning on the Drawing Toolbar. Then from the Draw menu, select Grid? Remove the check marks from Display Gridlines on Screen. Then click the Default button.

Although I wouldn't think it would affect PrintLayout view to the extent of showing gridlines, you may have text boundaries turned on. You can turn them off at Tools / Options / View and deselect Text Boundaries under Web and Page Layout Views portion of the dialog.

Thanks to Karen for that last post it did the trick.
Now that I am no longer running round in circles, I feel much less dizzy.

    Thanks again...
    Mick.
