forgetting to attach files (2002 SP1)

Ever promise an attachment and then forget to attach it? I've gotten good about it since I trained myself to stop as soon as I type the word "attached," but I've been trying to figure out how to get Outlook to scan the text of my message for trigger words and then ask me if I'm forgetting anything. Is this possible?

You can write a VBA routine as part of the

Application_ItemSend(ByVal Item As Object, Cancel As Boolean)

event, using InStr to scan MailItem.Body property for those target root words. But you may get a lot of false positives. (Personally I attach the attachments before I compose the message.)

There is a 3rd part add-on for Outlook that has this functionality

Although I think a $15 software package is overkill for the problem.
