    Filtered folder view?

Is it possible to create a link to a folder, but when the link opens to have it only show certain file types? A program I work with (Client Access) stores all user files in a one folder - keyboard mappings, toolbar layouts and icons, macros, workstation setups - but I would like the ability to open a filtered view of this folder automatically by using a custom link: "C:Program FilesIBMClient AccessEmulatorPrivate*.mac"

Courtesy of <post#=223216>post 223216</post#> from John van Someren, if you have Outlook available, add the folder - you can add filters to your hearts content.

When you say "link"... would you be satisfied with a shortcut? You can save a search from Windows Explorer's search pane and use that to re-open the folder with a filespec filter applied.

I believe that might be just what I was looking for. All of the files are in one folder, with no subfolders... so a 'search' link should be able to turn up the exact list I want. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
