Original templates that won't go away (Word 2000/Win 98)

    Hi gang,
We have a 5 peer-to-peer at work. I created templates and put them on one computer and modified the workgroup templates file location on everyone's computer. I moved all the templates that came with Word into another folder. There is nothing else except the normal.dot in the user templates folder. When I go file new I still see the original tabs and templates that were there before plus all the new folders and templates I created. Even better, if I double click on one of them it is still there!??! Don't want the original templates. Deleted all the original templates on my home computer and they are gone forever.

    What am I missing?
    Thanks

<post#= 216622>post 216622</post#> has a number of pointers to Microsoft articles describing the built in templates, do these help?
