    Mulitiple Decimal Place in a mail merge field (Word XP)

    Hi, I had a data source in note pad which has been converted into an EXcel spread sheet. the number coloumns have been formatted to 2 decimal places. However when I merge the document, the fields increase to 10 decimal places. how can I correct this?

    Thanks

    You can set a format in merge fields:
    Display field codes (Alt+F9). Merge fields will show as { MERGEFIELD fieldname }
    Just before the closing bracket, insert # 0.00
    The # indicates that a numeric format follows.
    Turn of field codes (Alt+F9 again)
    Select all and update field codes (F9)
