Searching / Replacing

How can I search through raw text, imported to Excel for the characters double questionmarks (??)

The Search/Replace commands treat the questionmarks as wildcards, but I need them to be treated as text, or plain characters.

The data is generated by a separate piece of hardware, and reports the "??" when it encounters an error. I need to run averages, sums, maximums, etc. on the rest of the data.

Any help would be a great help.

You have to preface each ? with a tilde (~). This signals that you what the following character as a literal. So to seach for ?? you would enter ~?~?

Gee... less than an hour to get good support. That's better than phoning Microsoft!
