    Outlook Mail View (Outlook XP)

Greetings, I have a strange problem with my Outlook mail view. Whether I click Unread Messages, or just Messages, I always see ALL my messages - currently 85, down from >300. I'd really rather just see the 4 or 5 unread messages, but short of re-installing Office XP plus SP1, AND 2, I don't see a solution. Apart from a lack of reminders (see another post) everything else works fine. The recent upgrade to SP2 made no difference - (both) problems have been with me for quite some time (Office 2000 was the beginning of the problem, I think). I have domain admin rights on a Win NT / 2000 (No AD) network with Exchange 5.5, SP4 mail. No other users seem to have this problem. Could there be specific DLLs which manage Unread mail (and/or reminders) that I can check?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you using View, Current View, Unread Messages, or are you using View, Current View, Messages, Customize, Filter, More Choices, Oniy items that are unread, checked?

Thanks for the response. I am using View > Current View > Unread Messages.

Well - this was a real tough one to figure out! (NOT!)
Even though I had Unread Messages selected as my view, I noticed there was no filter set. So customised the current view (Unread Messages) and SET THE FILTER to display UNREAD MESSAGES!! As Mr Simpson would say, DOH!!
Problem solved. Stupidity Proved. Thanks for the Hint JohnBF.

Dunno, that's still odd, Robin, the unfiltered UNREAD View works on my machine to show only unread msgs..
