    OL97/97-> IE5 truncating URL

    Hi!
    I am using an Access program to generate e-mails that contain a long URL. IF the recipient is running Outlook 97 or Outlook 98 with Internet Explorer 5, when they click on the URL, it is loaded in IE5, but is truncated at aboutn 250 characters. Works fine with Outlook 2000 and IE5.5

    Does anybody know a fix for this - can't find anything in the Microsoft Technet

    Thanks!

    Robert

    No answer, but I recall in the early days that a string variable had a maximum length of 254 characters. If that is the problem, the limitation probably runs pretty deep and might not have any solution for the older software.
