Greyed out line in InBox list (XP SP-2)

My InBox list normally has one line per e-mail. It is in black, bolded until I have read it. Recently two incoming mails have been greyed out (but completely accessible) and one has been in red. See the attachment for one of the greyed-out lines. Other e-mails, earlier and later than the ones in grey, are in black as normal.

I have set up three rules, but these all move messages to specified folders and none of these messages is true within the rules anyway.

Have you recently enabled the Outlook Junk E-mail handling? That could be your culprit.

You're right. Junk mail is enabled and turning it off restores the line to black. It turns out that the line displayed in red (not shown in my attachment) is the result of my adding a 'follow up' flag to an incoming e-mail, so you have solved my mystery. Now I'll go read the rules and see why a simple e-mail from my ex about our son's post code is considered junk!

    Many thanks.
