    Shortcut toolbar

When I click Customize or Refresh Icons on the Shortcut Toolbar, the whole system whitescreens and needs to be rebooted. I have uninstalled all of Office 2000 and reinstalled it, but the problem persists. Any ideas?

It sounds more Windows-related since you mention "refresh icons"

    Dear Karen,
Thanks for the response. It could be a general Windows problem, but nothing else in Windows seems to be effected, and the Refresh Icons is on the Shortcut Toolbar, not on the desktop. Working with this again last night, I can even add new icons to the Toolbar, but if they need to be refreshed, it still white screens. What would you be looking at in Windows 98 SE?

I'd off the Office Shortcut Toolbar and setup the icons on the Windows task bar, unless there is a particular need for the Toolbar.

It seems to me that it might be caused by your graphic card drivers. Go to the manufacturer's website and download and install the latest version of the drivers applicable to your card.

Before doing that maybe change whatever Active Desktop settings you have and see if that makes a difference (unlikely).

Do you get any message? Have you tried deleting all temp files. Search for ~*.* & *.tmp & delete all the files (first close all apps, using Ctrl+Alt+Del, if necessary).
