A quick soup that the little kids 'cause they can play and eat at the same time . And it's much better than one of those ghastly

Level of difficulty

Easy as (6 year old and up).

Preparation time

1 minute

Cooking time

10 minutes

    Ingredients (servers 6)

450 ml of boiling water

250 grams of Alphabet noodles

2 eggs

2-3 grams of fresh parsley

chicken stock (or 6 chicken stock cubes)

1 flat tablespoon of margarin (or butter if you prefer)

Pepper and Nutmeg
Method

Put butter or margarine in a pot, put on medium heat and grind some fresh pepper into it.

While waiting for the pepper to start sizzling, break the two eggs into a dish and whisk thoroughly. Boil the water.

Once the pepper sizzles, add the noodles and stir every 10 seconds or so until some letters start getting brown.

Add boiling water (supervise the kids during this process!), turn heat to the lowest possible, stir, ensuring nothing sticks to the bottom of the pot.

After 2 minutes or so, add the chicken stock (or crumbled stock cubes) and simmer for 5 minutes to 8 minutes.

Finely chop the parsley and stir into the eggs. Take soup off heat and stir the egg/parsley mixture into the soup. Sprinkle some fresh ground nutmeg on top and give one more stir.

Serve, and enjoy. (Do not at the kids when they start writing their names, once they found the right letters, at the edge of the plate .)
Cheers, Claude.

Why stop at Alphabet noodles? Why not Algebraic noodles too??

If they don't exist yet, remember where you heard it first.

Or make a limited alphabet soup - just use the letters A, C, G and T. See how long it takes before they come up with DNA...

Chinese noodles - I like that! How about a simplified character set for those on a diet?
