Wiped out my taskbar

Somehow I wiped out all my little icons on the bottom of my screen, to the immediate right of the "start" icon with the windows logo on it.

I thought I could re-create what I had by dragging and dropping new shortcut icons but they don't "stay" there.

I can't find any reference in my Win ME book of how to get this taskbar operational again. Help!

    Thank you.

It sounds like you have lost your Quick Launch toolbar. Right_click your Taskbar > Properties and look for an option to turn it on.

(If it is not immediately obvious, search for "Quick Launch" in your Help)
