Problem feeding information to table. (AccessXP)

I have a select query that is comprised of two tables, tblMonthlyTotals and tblCreditCard. They are joined by the MembershipID. There is no other field duplicated in the two tables. My problem is that I have one check box in the tblMonthlyTotals table and included on the query that when I try to check the box the computer beeps at me. If I remove the tblCreditCard table from the query the check box works. What causes this type of a problem?

    Thanks

I suspect your query is not updateable, and you may be able to tell by watching the statusbar when you try to change that value. In Access 2000 and later, you gnerally need the key fields/required fields from both tables before the query is updateable. You also may need the Unique Records property set to True (DISTINCTROW keyword in the SQL).
