Publish not deleting (FP2002)

Hi;
I have a site maintained with development and production copies. Many pages have been deleted from the development copy, but when I publish, they are not deleted from production. FP2002 did prompt to delete some files, but left almost 200.

If it matters, these are mostly pages that the department originally "Saved as web page" from Word, and have those _files folders associated with them.

How can I get FP to delete these? I'd rather not poke through all of them checking hyperlinks and manually deleting from the publish dialogue box.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
Maybe I don't understand you post but it seems the bottom line of your question
is how to get rid of unwanted files on the web host. Right?

If so, I'm presuming all unwanted files are not linked to any other file. So get
the 'production' web into FP directly and clickingView | Reports | Problems | Unlinked Files
you will be given a list of the files you are likely to want gone. Select them and
delete. Hope that is the question you're asking.

Re: Publish not deleting (FP2002)

Thanks for the help.

That seems a workable solution, but I'm still miffed that FP won't delete them as it's supposed to. During a publish It should recognize that the files exist in the destination, but not the source, and ask to delete them. Oh well, life goes on. )
