I'm not sure if this is the proper forum for this, but I have a question concerning running games made for Win98 in Win2000. Some games won't load in Win2000 properly because they were designed for Win9x, and they stop the loading process when they see an NT operating system. I read an article a few months back about tricking games to think that they are running on Win98. It has to do with a simple file transfer. The article said that there is a file that you copy into Win2000 from the disc (not sure if its 98 disc or 2000 disc), and although it does nothing to the operating system, it "tricks" the game into thinking that its running on Win9x. I was almost positive that I read the article in one of Woody's Windows Watches, but I've check the archives and haven't found it. If anyone could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
