Can I break one table into several? (Access 2000)

I have a 10-field table that I now realize needs to be several related tables. Can I do this without losing data?

In the database window, you can copy and paste a table to make a complete copy of a table and all its data. then in the copy, delete the fields you don't need.
When you paste the table, choose "structure and data".
