Change status from percentage to count (2002)

Outlook 2000 showed in the status bar the number of messages being sent and received (e.g. receiving 3 of 30), Outlook 2002 shows a percentge complete. Can I make a change to Outlook 2002 that will get the actual count back? I have not found it so far, and I would really like the count back.

Anyone found the solution to the above?

Why or why do MS add extra 'functions' but remove the cool way they did it before? Why not have both?

I get a big dialog, but I notice there is a "push-pin" on the lower right that might be used to expand/contract it. Okay, I have no idea what that thing does...

I didn't notice that on the 'big box' dialogue. Gives the information, but kinda gets in the way.

The Pushpin didn't seem to do anything for me either. I have it 'pushed' and will see what happens, if anything.

At least now I know how to find the information if I have to. Thanks js
