This was posted a while back but I am still suffering with it. I have Win2K Prof with a CNet Pro200 NIC and two Win98 clients with CNet Pro120B NICs. Running TCP/IP with DHCP provided by WinGate on the Win2K machine (configured as 192.168.0.1).
Whenever a Win98 machine boots the Win2K machine also re-boots. As all data is stored on this machine there is potential for loss/corruption if one of the W98 machines causes a reboot when the other W98 machine has open files.
Can anyone suggest anything at all - so far the MS KB has turned up zilch. I disabled IPX/SPX (only used for games anyway). Its a real pain in the backside...
