Reformat 2nd hard drive (Windows XP)

Windows XP is now installed on my first hard drive; I'd like to use the second for storage but the drive needs to be reformatted first. How do I do this without affecting the main hard drive?
    Thanks.

If there's nothing that you want to keep it's easy. just type "format x:" (no quotes) where x is the 2nd hd from Start>Run.

You can also right-click on the drive from Windows Explorer and you will be presented with a "format" option.

You can also get Partition Magic and it will allow you to do almost anything you want to do. You can format and partion and lots of other things. Try the free trial version and see what you think. Very easy to use.
