I have 2 accounts that I use for sending and receiving e-mail. Occasionally, on one of those accounts, someone sends something that causes a "time out" error to occur. Unfortunately, this account is accessed first when downloading mail which causes two problems. 1) any other e-mail on that server is prevented from being received. 2) the other server is held up until this one item finally times out.

Question: Is there any way to increase the time allotted before the time out kicks in? And/or is there a way to change the priority of which account is accessed first? And finally, if none of the above, how can I get rid of this one item that is holding up my receiving e-mail?

I'm using Outlook 2000. :-)
