TOC without a Tab Leader (97)

    Hello All,

I have created a template and now I want to setup an format for the Table of Contents
Is it possible to create a TOC format without the Tab Leader Charaters (So the dots between the header and the page number are spaces)
And could it be set that this format is default when people are creating a TOC with this template?

    Yes you can.
Make sure you are in the template (the dot, not the doc, I've messed up there before <img src=/S/doh.gif border=0 alt=doh width=15 height=15>). From the menubar click Insert, Index and Tables. The Index and Tables dialog box is displayed. Under Formats, choose From template. See the attached pic and from the Tab leader list choose (none).

You can now click the Modify button to set the styles for each of the TOC headings (when automatically generated the style names are always called TOC 1, TOC 2, TOC 3 etc.)
    Save and close the template.

Now, whenever someone uses the template for a new document and automatically generates a TOC, they choose From template and all the template's options are already set up. They just click OK.

hope that helps. If you need any more detail, post back.
    have fun
