    Quarterly grouping (AccessXP)

I have a report that I want to limit to just the sum of two different fields grouped by the quarter. I created the report, went to the Sorting and Grouping dialog box and changed the Group On to Qtr. The report is based on a query comprised of two tables. When I specify a six month period there is only one grouping. What is the hidden trick to this task? Also how do you get the different group labels to read first, second, etc quarter?

    Thanks for the help.

Okay here is one time where I found my own answer. I missed a step in the report wizard where you could pick the grouping. I was then able to use formatting in my other report. Thanks and sorry to bother you. Fay

Fay, you didn't bother us. It's neat to get a question and, before you can dig in, the answer. For us old guys that means you got the attention without giving us a headache! <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>
