Hyperlinks in GroupWise messages (VBA/Office 2000)

I am using Access 2000 VBA to select a range of e-mail addresses and send a message from GroupWise. So far so good. But I want the message body to include a hyperlink for the recipients to click - any ideas how I can code that in? I realise that this could be a question for the Access forum, but feel that if it works in VBA anywhere, I should be able to get it to work in Access.

    Thanks.

Which version of GW? What kind of hyperlink?

I know with GW 5.5 all you need to do to make a web hyperlink clickable is include http:// before the web address, in other words, use:

    http://www.someserver.com instead of www.somesever.com

It is GW 5.5, and you're right - it's as simple as adding http:// to the front of the link string. That led me to find that mailto: is the prefix for e-mail address links.

Many thanks for your prompt response!

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by gwhitfield on 05-Mar-03 22:30. Hyperlinks added)</P>Hi Jambo - Happy to help for once, instead of always taking it from others! I actually got the following link from a search on GroupWise in the Access lounge:

    http://www.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0059.htm

I downloaded the Access 97 MDB file from this web site and tweaked it for the job I was trying to do (send e-mails to a subset of contacts from a contacts database). We wanted to include a link to a newsletter, with an e-mail link for feedback/unsubscribing. It all seems to be working fine.

Your reference to Excel and Word 98 makes me wonder whether you're using a Mac. The stuff I used was written for 97, but works fine in 2000; however, I'm not a Mac user so don't know if there's anything you have to take into consideration.

    Good luck!
