    Excel 97 (SR-2)

Does anyone know where I can get the code to copy a complete workbook, code and all to a new workbook .. I have a workbook that keeps getting corrupted and I can't re-open it ..

    No such utility, alas.

You can try using Rob Bovey's code cleaner for the code and the userforms though. Find it at the Excel MVP page below.

As <!profile=LegareColeman>LegareColeman<!/profile> has advised, if you can send the problem WB to someone with XL 2000 or XL XP, who can then save it as an HTML document, then import the HTML document and resave it to Excel, the corruption may be removed. You should not have backwards compatibility problems.

Click here to get to the Microsoft site regarding data recovery. There are a number of ways to do it.. See the section on "Microsoft Excel 97 File Recovery Macro to Recover Information (Excel 97 only)". I have used it and it works as long as you can open the file.
