    OpenForm Dialog mode (Access 97)

    Hi

In a form I have a button that opens up another form in dialog mode. The 2nd form is used to add data (it includes a subform), which is used to repopulate a combo box on the first form. I'm using a dialog mode for the 2nd form to halt the code, which allows me to refresh the combo box with the new data once the 2nd form is closed. I'm not sure whether this is the best method, but it works.

The problem is that in the 2nd form you can print a report via preview, but because the 2nd form is in a dialog mode, the report preview does not become the front 'screen'. To display it you have to quit out of the 2nd and 1st forms. So the question is how can I force the report to be the front screen?

    Thanks and Regards

You might try setting the visible property of the forms to False on the report open event - I've not tried that, so it's a bit of a shot in the dark. If it works then you surely want to restore them to visible when the report closes. Let us know how it goes.
